Use listings to make honest, lawful offers. Describe the item, service, room, location, price, availability, and important conditions accurately. Do not pressure someone to pay before they can reasonably verify the offer, and do not ask for unnecessary identity documents or sensitive financial information.
CampusLink does not inspect or guarantee goods, services, jobs, rooms, landlords, employers, buyers, sellers, or payment arrangements. Follow campus guidance and local law, use sensible meeting practices, and report suspicious activity promptly.
Event and club organizers must provide clear information and avoid coercive, discriminatory, or unsafe activities. Lost-and-found posts should protect the owner's privacy: do not publish full identity numbers, access codes, or more identifying detail than needed to reunite an item with its owner.
Do not use an event, club, or lost-and-found post to recruit for harmful activity, collect sensitive data, or mislead people about who is organizing it.
Direct messages are for genuine campus communication, not unwanted solicitation or repeated contact after someone has asked you to stop. Do not pressure people to move a conversation off-platform, send intimate material, share passwords, or meet privately when they are uncomfortable.
Remember that screenshots and forwarded messages may exist. Protect your own information and respect the privacy of others.
Use the in-app Report control when it is available on the relevant profile or content. Choose the closest reason and include useful context without adding someone else's unnecessary private information. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services or campus security first.
Reports are reviewed by authorized moderators. Do not retaliate against someone for making a good-faith report, submit knowingly false reports, or encourage others to mass-report content simply because you disagree with it.
Depending on the severity and context, CampusLink may warn a member, remove or hide content, limit features, suspend an account, terminate access, or refer a matter to a campus or legal authority. We may act before a full investigation when necessary to reduce immediate risk.
If you believe an enforcement decision was mistaken, contact the CampusLink administrator for your campus with the relevant account or content details. We will review appeals where practical, but submitting an appeal does not guarantee restoration.
CampusLink works best when members post with care, verify important details, and leave room for others to participate. These standards apply to profiles, public content, listings, events, clubs, direct messages, and any other interaction connected to CampusLink.
